Platanaki

Platanaki is found at an altitude of 980 meters in a beautiful place next to a forest of fir trees of Parnonas. Platanaki (“small plane tree”) is as small as its name indicates (“-aki” is the diminutive suffix) – only 210 residents – and is indescribably beautiful. This is the homeland of the glorious Macedon battler Captain Zaharias Androutsos or Papadas (Captain Foufas). Platanaki overlooks the plain of the ancient region of Glyppia that was inhabited by Achaeans.
