Kosmas

It is one of the most beautiful villages of Arcadia. Kosmas village is built on the southeastern outskirts of Parnonas, at an altitude of 1.150 meters, among fir and chestnut trees. The village houses are built out of stone and stick to the local traditional architecture. This village has enviable historical route starting from the struggle for independence in 1821 until the resistance against the Germans and the Italians.

Huge plane trees planted in 1883 create a roof above the central square of the village. In the centre of the square there is a beautiful church of St. Anargyron. Behind the temple three beautiful fountains constantly shed their water. The view of the valley below and of the mountains above will comfort you, relax your mind and bring you peace.

You can enjoy your coffee in picturesque cafes or have a meal made of local products in one of the traditional taverns. There are also many traditional shops selling honey, herbs and handmade ceramics.
