Sambatiki

A beautiful, small village with a large beach and a picturesque harbor. Its name probably comes from its peninsula which is called “Savatiko”. In the center of the village there is a church of the Virgin Mary with many old icons, and to the east of the church one can find ruins of old buildings, probably cells and utility rooms. Taverns in Sambatiki offer a variety of fresh fish from local fishermen.
